Outcomes from retail systems work.

Representative engagements in e-commerce, catalogue operations, inventory, payments and CRM. Named as types of work, not as claimed client endorsements.

Long case

Mail-order packing station seen from above, with catalogues and parcels in a long repeating arrangement.

Mail-order catalogue on a unified storefront

A catalogue and mail-order house needed the printed range, the website and the warehouse to share product and stock. We designed the computer system, programmed the storefront and connected inventory and order management so a line sold in the book could be reserved by the site. Outcome: one stock figure and a checkout the packing bench could fulfil.

Short case

Cricket bats leaning at slightly different angles against a dark wall.

Sporting goods, paid on the same order

Retail software for a sporting goods range, with payment gateway integration attached to the order rather than a separate merchant screen.

A long empty corridor with repeating openings at irregular intervals and cool daylight at the far end.

Text-heavy case

Hobby, book and miscellaneous retail in one catalogue

Miscellaneous retailers often hold ranges that refuse a single product template: books beside hobby kits, instruments beside spare parts. We specified a catalogue model that could carry mixed attributes without forcing every line into the same fields, then built the web application around it. Search, merchandising and warehouse labels used the same record. The work was computer systems design first, storefront second.

Outcome: staff stopped maintaining a second spreadsheet for “the awkward lines”.

Compact case

CRM for a multi-channel desk

Customer relationship management wired to the storefront so service staff saw the same person, order and return the website already knew.

Precision metal tools laid out on a dark workbench in clustered and isolated groups.
A warehouse loading bay at rest, roller doors open to different heights along the wall.

Marketplace listings beside a first-party store

Marketplace platform development for a retailer who needed third-party sellers without splitting inventory into a second operation. Listings, settlement and first-party stock were designed as one computer system. Outcome: marketplace volume without a second warehouse truth.
